YOU NEVER TALK ABOUT DISCHARGE!!

Not until the papers are signed, not until the car is packed. Not until they are out of the hospital gown and the monitors are shut off. Not until you are walking through the doors!!!!

And here we are! Not home home. We will be following up out patient for the next week or so. But we are all under one roof and couldn’t be, cautiously, more happy.

It’s funny how you never realize the weight on your shoulders until it’s lifted. And this proved true once again. I can breath.

We aren’t quite out of the woods,

yet. They are proceeding cautiously with oral feeds as he is showing signs he may be aspirating, which isn’t uncommon and something we will work through. His g-tube feeds are running slow and often, feels like when we were discharged from the Nicu. He is still struggling at times to tolerate the feeds, vomiting. But these are all manageable issues. Ones we have faced before. And no one works harder than Milo and I. WE’VE GOT THIS!

The stroller will be our best friend as we work on his g feeds! So find me on the streets of St. Petersburg for now.

Thank you #TeamMilo for all the love and support! Can’t express how much we appreciate you all!!!
